Energy
What is Energy
The token that pays for API usage.
ENERGY is a standard ERC-20 token (18 decimals), visible in any wallet and transferable. It is what pays for usage on Stardust.
Where it comes from#
New ENERGY is only minted by two contracts, each with its own limit:
- StardustStaking: a fixed daily pool shared by stakers.
- EnergyStore: exactly as much as is paid for in USDG.
At launch, 100,000 ENERGY was minted once to the dev wallet. The Liquidity Pool started empty.
Where it goes#
- Deposited in the Energy Vault and burned when the API uses it.
- Staked in the Liquidity Pool to earn USDG.
- Held in your wallet: holding 5,000 or more unlocks the free models.
Circulating supply = minted − burned, and every mint and burn is a public on-chain event.
